Alumni Networks 40 Three New England states, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, joined the luncheon for the first time. Professor Siu Yum-tong 蕭蔭堂 (BA 1963; Hon DSc 1990) gave a summary of the North America alumni joint event in Las Vegas, held in early April, and reported on the University’s new initiatives. Sixty students, school counsellors and alumni attended the tea reception hosted by HKUAA Malaysia. Dr Seow Kim-cheok 蕭金昌 (MBBS 1964), the current President, gave a short speech to cover some historical details, their quest to get more students from Malaysia to attend HKU and how well this quest was going.
