Andrea Leung 梁靜怡 (BSocSc 2003; MEcon 2008) Determined to enrich her life experience, Andrea resigned from her job and took a gap year abroad, trying out all sorts of adventures around the world, such as taking Spanish and tango lessons in Argentina, hiking in Patagonia, running into the freezing water of Antarctica, camping and stargazing on Easter Island, volunteering in Costa Rica, taking cooking classes in Spain, taking a cycling trip in Austria and joining a canoeing expedition in Norway. She spent her birthday on top of the highest mountain in North Africa, Jebel Toubkal at 4,167 metres in Morocco. She recently published the book 《休業遊民》 and spoke for the Hong Kong International Travel Association at the Macau book fair, among other occasions, to share her wonderful experiences. Addie Choy 蔡子榮 (BSocSc 1993) Addie visited the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood in Edinburgh and was impressed by its post-modern architectural style and its attempts to be more accountable to the public. One such attempt is the ‘Festival of Politics’ which encouraged the people of Scotland to participate in the discussion of several important issues in the Scottish Parliament. Additionally, Addie had an opportunity to meet Patrick Harvie, co-convenor of the Scottish Green Party and a Member of the Scottish Parliament. They discussed the policies of sustainable development, transportation in Scotland, and the referendum on the independence of Scotland. Peter Babucke (MEcon 2005) Mark G Stimson (MEcon 2005) After several years away, Peter visited his alma mater again in early May during a trip that combined business and private matters. Peter is now based in Tokyo where he is in charge of international sales at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Mark is based in Hong Kong, working at the China desk of JPMorgan Securities, and classmate Brady Sidwell (not in the picture) is based in Shanghai, working as Vice President for the OSI Group. SteveWong 黃文輝 (BSc 1990) Steve is a Quality Manager in the pharmaceutical division of Abbott Laboratories. Due to work requirements, he relocated with his family to Basel, Switzerland from Chicago in July 2012. He enjoys the challenges of working in a new environment and learning German. Being centrally located in Europe, Steve regularly travels to neighbouring countries to meet suppliers and business colleagues. In his leisure time, he explores the Swiss Alps and is learning how to ski. Steve is also a member of the HKU Central USA Alumni Network.
