www4.hku.hk/honfellows September 23, 2014 Wendy Gan 顏金施 (BA 1987) (1 st right) is an alumni leader at HKU and was Chairman of Convocation (2001-2004) , the youngest on record. She is also a long-serving member of the University Council and Court, and has participated in a number of significant committees and reviews, including the Ad Hoc Task Group on the Review of University Governance and Management. Currently, she is an Honorary Director of the HKU Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of HKU SPACE. Honorary University Fellowships Beatrice Mok 莫綺文 (2 nd right) got her principal sources of inspiration from her late father Dr Mok Hing-yiu 莫慶堯 (MBBS 1947; Hon DSocSc 2009), a renowned physician of internal medicine, and her late husband, Danny Ho 何定邦 (BSc(Eng) 1969), both past Presidents of the HKU Alumni Association. In 2012, she established the Danny D B Ho Professorship in Family Medicine and founded the Community Partner Foundation as a continuation of their benefaction spirit. She is now a member of the University’s Court and an Honorary President of the HKU Foundation. Daniel Yu 於崇光 (2 nd left) is a celebrated industrialist in Hong Kong, and Chairman and Director of Maxwell Electronics Limited, an electronics empire that played significant part in Hong Kong’s growth. He established an Endowed Professorship in Virology in 2012, and extended his support with a further Endowed Professorship in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology in 2013. He is currently an Honorary Patron of the HKU Foundation. David Yu 余啟超 (1 st left) is Chairman of Dor Fook Co. Ltd. and Managing Director of Cheong Shing Investment Loan and Exchange Co. Ltd. His family’s support of HKU began in 1965, with the Yu Chun Keung Memorial Scholarships. He continues this philanthropic tradition and, along with HSBC Trustee, he and his family manage the Yu Chun Keung Charitable Trust Fund, which established the Yu Chun Keung Memorial Scholarships for Master of Research in Medicine and Medical Elective Travel, and the Yu Chun Keung Medical Library. 18
