Siddhartha Mahavir Acharya (BA 1971) After retiring from the Indian Administrative Service five years ago, Siddhartha is now the Chief Executive of the Gokula Education Foundation (GEF) in Bangalore, India. He has been the Secretary of Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Urban Affairs. Gordon Low 羅安鼎 (MBBS 1956) HKU mentors since 2005, Dr Low and his wife Rosie were presented with the College International Medal in May 2014, one of the most prestigious awards of The College of Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand. It is in recognition of their tireless efforts over 25 years to advance surgical and medical exchanges between Australia, New Zealand and China through their self-funded programme called Project China. The Project has now sent over 110 Australian and New Zealand medical specialists to China across 64 visits and supported over 90 medical specialists from China since 1994 to undertake hospital placements in New Zealand and Australia.
