Fall Issue, 2014

More than 3,000 geographers in the past 60 years have walked through many happy and unforgettable journeys in the Department. To celebrate the Department’s Diamond Jubilee, over 330 participated a Reunion Dinner at Loke Yew Hall on October 12, 2014. The Dean of Social Sciences Professor John Burns 卜約翰 , Head of Department of Geography Professor David Zhang 章典 , and Former Director of Planning and Distinguished Alumnus Dr Peter Pun 潘國城 (BA 1961; MA 1967; PhD 1980) were invited to officiate the toasting ceremony for this milestone. I count myself blessed to be in one of the earliest graduating classes witnessing the growth and development of the department and a teacher of the Geography discipline.
