Since its establishment in 1911, the University has prided itself on the high quality liberal arts education with an international perspective which it has provided. The “HKU Culture & Humanities Fund” was therefore launched at HKU last year to support initiatives including heritage projects, research, scholarships, professorships, as well as community and school education programmes.

Thanks to the Yam Pak Charitable Foundation, proceeds from last year’s performance “Dream of the West Chamber” were used to support this Fund.

This year’s fundraising performance “Princess Changping”, held on December 9, raised a further HK$12M, which includes matching funds from the Stanley Ho Alumni Challenge. The donations will go towards the continued support of education and research into culture and humanities.

Thank you for your support!
