Law's Charitable Foundation

Law's Charitable Foundation was established as a lasting tribute to Mr Law Ting Pong, a widely respected philanthropist who was deeply committed to the education and training of the young. Mr Law's belief in supporting philanthropic activities, particularly in educational development for the benefit of the Hong Kong community, continues through the Foundation which bears his name.

The "Law's Charitable Foundation Law Ting Pong Scholarship and Bursary" 羅氏慈善基金羅定邦獎助學金 has been made possible by a generous donation from Law's Charitable Foundation to The University of Hong Kong.

Eligibility and Tenure

Much more than just a single donation, the funding is a commitment from Law's Charitable Foundation for a ten-year period commencing 2005. In 2005, the "Law's Charitable Foundation Law Ting Pong Scholarship" was established to support outstanding Chinese Mainland students to complete their undergraduate studies at HKU and local students for overseas exchange.

In 2010, "Law's Charitable Foundation Law Ting Pong Bursary" was established to provide for local students with demonstrated financial hardship. Law's Charitable Foundation also supports the "First-in-the-Family Education Fund" which advocates equal learning opportunities for those are the first generation in their families to attend university.
