A total donation of HK$20 million from over 120 donors from across disciplines and professions has afforded the University the occasion to create the Distinguished Visiting Professorship in Leadership in honour of Dr the Honourable Leong Che-Hung.

This academic legacy pays tribute to Dr Leong, our alumnus, former professoriate colleague and past Council Chairman, a leader who has made multi-faceted and lasting contributions to HKU and Hong Kong society over the past half-century.

The annual investment return will be used to support at least one Distinguished Visiting Professor each year, bringing world scholars with top distinction in academic and community leadership to the HKU campus.
